Ahmeti: There is no coming back

Ali Ahmeti, leader of the Democratic Union for Integration, welcomed the decision by President Gjorge Ivanov to give SDSM leader Zoran Zaev the mandate to form a Government. In the party press release, there is no comment on the decision by Zaev to reject the controversial Tirana platform, which DUI signed together with the BESA and Alliance of Albanians parties.

“As i said from the start, we will act in accordance with the will of the citizens, and there is no coming back. Our key and decisive role in the shaping of the new majority will be used to implement reforms in cooperation with the international community, to have good inter-ethnic relations and the Ohrid agreement, as well as NATO and European Union integration and opening new jobs”, Ahmeti said, via the press release. His party holds 10 seats in Parliament, nearly half what it used to hold in the previous Parliament, after a significant reduction of support, mainly in favor of BESA and SDSM.
