Construction of WIK plant kicks off, 1,000 new jobs

A cornerstone laying ceremony for the construction of the plant for household appliances production WIK Macedonia was held Tuesday in the Technological Industrial Development Zone (TIDZ) Prilep – Alinci site.

This is the third investment in TIDZ Prilep, which is expected to open around 1,000 jobs.

The total investment is 12 million euros and will take place in several phases over a period of four to five years. The plant will cover an area of 5,200 square meters and should be completed by March next year when the first products are expected to be delivered.

The cornerstone laying ceremony was attended by representatives of the Directorate for Technological Development zones, local self-government and businessmen, as well as the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski.
