Croatia will not get involved in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue

Serbia and Kosovo should be supported on their path to the European Union, said Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Monday.

“Croatia will not get involved in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, but will monitor and encourage it,” said President Grabar-Kitarovic after a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

According to her, everyone and especially EU member-states, must “keep Serbia and Kosovo on the path of negotiations”.

Referring to NATO’s role in Kosovo, Grabar-Kitarovic highlighted that Zagreb supports the extension of the KFOR mission until the country’s security is fully consolidated.

“The Croatian KFOR contingent will stay in Kosovo as long as necessary,” said Grabar-Kitarovic.
