Customs collects 7.8 % more revenues in first 10 months of 2017


The revenues of the Customs Administration of Macedonia exceeded by 7.8 percent in the first 10 months of 2017. The realized revenues amount to MKD 64.5 billion, which is MKD 4.7 billion more than the same period last year.

In the first 10 months of 2017, the Customs Administration continued with successful revenue collection of import duties, customs duties, value added tax, excise duties and fees and collection of excise duty not only at import but in internal trade as well, Director General of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Macedonia Gjoko Tanasoski said in the interview with MIA.

He said that the success in revenue collection is due to several factors, mainly due to increased financial discipline of all participants in trade. According to him, the cooperation with institutions that control internal trade as Public Revenue Office and State Market Inspectorate, is very important.
