DUI officially submits initiative for parliament dissolution

Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) officially submitted Saturday an initiative for parliament dissolution and scheduling early parliamentary elections.

The reason for this, as party sources say, is refusal of their proposal for consensual presidential candidate by coalition partner VMRO-DPMNE.

DUI’s initiative is in accordance with the decisions of the party’s central presidency adopted at the session on Thursday in Mala Recica. DUI announces not to propose its candidate at presidential elections and will not call for boycott.

In the meantime, the ruling VMRO-DPMNE party is electing its presidential candidate at the convention in Skopje.

In case the dissolution of parliament is decided, then early parliamentary elections will be held onApril 27, a time when there will also be a run-off in the presidential elections.
