EU commissioner Hahn visits Macedonia

Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn pays November 20-21 a visit to Macedonia, meeting with country’s top officials and the civil society.

Commissioner Hahn is set to meet with Prime Minister and SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski, Alliance of Albanians leader Zijadin Sela, and representatives of the NGO sector.

Commissioner Hahn announced the visit via Twitter last week, following his meetings with Vice Premier for European Affairs Bujar Osmani and Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov.

“I am very much looking forward to my visit to Skopje next week, with political meetings and exchange with civil society. Confident that government will use positive momentum and we will see further reform results by end of the year. This requires constructive cooperation of all political forces, including the opposition”, tweeted Hahn.
