FM Poposki visits Pustec Municipality in Albania

Foreign Affairs Minister Nikola Poposki visited Wednesday the Municipality of Pustec as part of his visit to Albania, where he is set to take part in a meeting of foreign ministers of Western Balkan countries in Durres.

Minister Poposki in Pustec met with municipal mayor Edmond Temelko, officials of the municipal council, Macedonian language teachers and representatives of the Macedonian community from several Albanian municipalities, MoFA said in a press release.

Talks mainly focused on ways for bolstering cross-border cooperation in the region of Prespa, with an emphasis on environment and ecotourism, and improving infrastructure linking Macedonia, Albania and Greece.

“To educate our children is the most important investment into the European future of all the countries in the region… Albania and Macedonia have a fruitful foundation to cooperate on their path to the EU. It is vital our citizens to feel the benefits from the integration process and the EU to become an attainable goal,” FM Poposki said urging more cross-border ties and projects to be established.

He also visited several schools in the Municipality of Pustec to donate books in Macedonian, stated the press release.
