Frosina Cinema’s premiere of short documentary on Mizar’s career

A short documentary film dedicated to one of the best rock bands in Macedonia, Mizar, was premiered Sunday within the Skopje Film Festival as part of an evening focused on student movies.

The film, titled “Mizar – A Star of Hope”, is directed by Marko Dzambazoski who is currently a student of film and TV editing.

The movie explores Mizar’s beginnings and its journey from a garage band to becoming one of the most influential bands in the history of Macedonian rock music.

The documentary, including interviews with its previous and current members, also describes the band’s attitude towards the political system of former Yugoslavia in the 1980s and the stubbornness of its members to bring changes in the society, such as improved freedom of expression in general.
