The Game of Thrones stars have been busily confirming that they’ve wrapped filming on the eighth and final season of the most amazing show ever.

And now it looks like the official last day of filming for everyone and everything on the show happened on Friday (July 6), according to Watchers on the Wall, Digital Spy reports.

It comes after Maisie Williams said goodbye to Arya Stark and GoT by sharing a picture of some very bloody shoes – although we’re not sure if that’s doesn’t bode well for Arya, or for the people on her kill list.

“Goodbye belfast. goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones,” Maisie captioned the post. “What a joy i’ve had. here’s to the adventures to come.”

And then, just to add a bit of further mystery, she accompanied the post with the captions “last woman standing” and “barely”.

Meanwhile, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) has reflected on THAT tattoo that had everyone thinking she’d spoiled the ending of the show.

Last month, Sophie’s new tattoo featuring a dire wolf and the words “the pack survives” was revealed on Instagram, prompting fans to jump to the conclusion that she’d revealed the remaining Starks all survive season eight.

“That would be terrible, if I got the ending tattooed on my body, just before the last season came out,” she reassured Digital Spy. “That would be so stupid.”

Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere in 2019. The show airs on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK. Season 7 is now available to buy on DVD, Blu-ray or digital download.
