Greek FM Kotzias received threatening letter, diplomatic sources say

Greek diplomatic sources confirmed the report of ‘Ta Nea’ daily that Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias received a threatening letter enclosing a ‘bullet’ for him, MIA reports from Athens.

Kotzias had received other threatening letters and calls in recent weeks, which authorities believe are linked to his attempts to resolve a long-standing name dispute with the neighboring state of Macedonia.

Authorities have already launched an investigation to identify senders of the anonymous letter.

Kotzijas, as Greek media reported, is set to visit Skopje on 22-23 March for a meeting with his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Dimitrov.
