Gruevski: €400 million planned for capital investment in infrastructure

VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski after inspecting the construction works of “Serbia” boulevard told reporters Saturday that €400 million are planned for capital investment in infrastructure next year, which is record amount so far invested in infrastructure. €320 million are intended for road infrastructure.

Gruevski explained that Demir Kapija-Smokvica highway will be completed next year as well as while Skopje-Stip and Kicevo-Ohrid highways.

Kocani-Stip, Stip-Radovis, Rankovce-Kriva Palanka, Gradsko-Prilep are express roads, which will begin to be constructed soon or are in the final stage of preparations, Gruevski said.

He expressed hopes that the conditions will be created next year for construction of the road from Ohrid to Pestani which is express road with four lanes.

€320 million in a year will be invested in roads, primarily highways, expressways, regional, national and of course local roads. It will be a strong contribution to the road infrastructure in Macedonia and will be felt by citizens in communications, movement, transportation, Gruevski said.
