Gruevski: PET Center in Skopje starts operating, a capital project in Macedonian healthcare sector

VMRO-DPMNE leader, Nikola Gruevski, announced on Facebook that today another facility of paramount importance for the Macedonian healthcare sector starts operating. It’s about the PET Center in Skopje, which is a capital project in the Macedonian healthcare sector, Gruevski wrote.

Only one week ago I signed a contract for construction of a new clinical center in Skopje, and today we have completed a project that starts working with patients. The PET Center in Skopje has been completed, which represents a capital project in the Macedonian healthcare sector. It is the most sophisticated, most complex and unique facility of its kind not only in Macedonia but also in the region.

Each stage of the development of the PET Center was approved and certified by the International Atomic Energy Agency. The state-of-the-art equipment in the PET Center will enable precise diagnostics and accurate monitoring whether the therapy for patients with malignant diseases is effective. This investment will save many lives, informed Gruevski.

The facility covers a total area of 2500 m2. The total investment is about 16 million euros.
