On behalf of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization-Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity, on behalf of all our members, supporters, on behalf of the whole Macedonian people I support the people unjustly detained in this prison because they are patriots, they expressed patriotic feelings, they did not hurt anyone, Nikola Gruevski pointed out at Wednesday’s protest that VMRO-DPMNE held outside the Shuto Orizari prison against the detention of MPs and artists for their involvement in the events of 27 April in the Parliament.

What is happening to you is happening to Macedonia and it’s not by accident. Through you and through many other steps, it is obvious that they want to break and weaken the VMRO-DPMNE, and through this, they want to weaken the spirit of the Macedonian and the patriotic spirit of every one who loves Macedonia as it is, with whole heart and soul. For three years now, they have been trying to break everything that is national, everyone that loves their country. Everyone that is ready to defend the basic symbols of their country. Detention is part of those steps. They will not succeed, we all know it. The Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization-Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity was and will be, existed and will exist. It was strong and will remain strong, it endured and fought for the people in the Republic of Macedonia and will continue to do so in the future, whether they like it or not, Gruevski said.

He said that the people are with the detainees and they have the support of a huge number.

The people and the citizens see what happens, no matter how scared or threatened, this cannot last forever. The end of this junta will come. They will regret it, they will run away from our glances. Macedonia has undergone many difficult times, and this junta, which behaves violently, will leave one day, Gruevski said.
