VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski said the party will not leave the Parliament, answering a journalist’s question after Wednesday’s court hearing in the case commonly referred to as ‘Violence in Center.’

“We haven’t made such a decision,” Gruevski answered to the question whether the VMRO-DPMNE will leave the Parliament.

Regarding Tuesday’s meeting with Gjorge Ivanov, together with the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Gruevski said that it was called with the aim to calm the tensions.

“I do not have any details about the meeting. In an attempt to tone down tensions rising in the society after all the political witch-hunt, the President invited us for talks,” Gruevski said.

He also accused the court of having double standards when it comes to his hearing and Zoran Zaev-related cases.

“Hearings that are in relation to VMRO-DPMNE are scheduled every two, every four days, while Zoran Zaev-related cases are scheduled at an indefinite time. It is proof of an obvious inequality, obvious protectionism by the judiciary,” the VMRO-DPMNE leader said.

Gruevski also said he felt no guilt and was not afraid of any punishment.
