Hungarian FM Szijjarto visits Macedonia


Hungary’s Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto will pay an official visit to Macedonia on Monday, meeting with counterpart Nikola Dimitrov.

Szijjarto and Dimitrov will focus on bilateral relations, Macedonia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, its domestic political developments and relations with neighbors. Furthermore, they will exchange opinions on current regional and international developments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

FM Szijjarto is also set to meet with President Gjorge Ivanov, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, as well as Vice Premiers Bujar Osmani and Koco Angjusev.

During the visit, the countries’ ministries of foreign affairs will sign the 2018 cooperation action plan, which includes specific forms and activities for further cooperation between the two institutions, reads the press release.
