Ivanov: I will sign the Law on Languages if it is in line with the Constitution

Answering a journalist’s question whether he will sign the Law on Languages, President Gjorge Ivanov said he would decide when the text of the law would be sent to him. However, as he added, he would sign the law if it is in accordance with the Constitution.

“I am closely following the discussion about the Law on Languages, but the draft text has not been sent to my Cabinet yet. Once it comes and I get to see it, I will make a decision. The law must be in line with the Constitution and the national interests,” Ivanov said.
