Zoran Zaev’s Albanian coalition partners, despite the guarantees of SDSM leader for getting the mandate to form a government, have not given up the Tirana platform and reiterate their demands for redefinition of the state.

BESA leader, Bilal Kasami, immediately after meeting Zaev, had a guest appearance in the debate show on TV 21, where he said that at no point did the Albanian parties accept to refrain from the Albanian platform.

At Wednesday’s meeting, he and Zoran Zaev never debated whether BESA will participate in the government or not. Over Zaev’ guarantees while receiving the mandate from Ivanov, Kasami explicitly said that the conditions are specified in the Albanian platform.

“At no point did the Albanian parties accept to refrain from the Albanian platform. The political demands of the party  will be implemented in accordance with the Constitution, and will promote the rights of the citizens, including ethnic Albanians in Macedonia. This implies redefinition of Macedonia,” said Kasami.

Bilal Kasami’s statement comes after President Gjorge Ivanov gave the mandate to form a government to Zoran Zaev.
