Kosovo visa liberalization decision in December

Kosovo Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, has said that the issue of visa liberalization is in the hands of the European Union, expecting a decision in December, MIA reports from Pristina.

Minister Hoxha told daily “Zeri” that the decision should be passed at the final annual session of the Council in about two months.

According to her, certain EU member-states such as France, The Netherlands, Germany and Spain have had reserves over the Kosovo visa liberalization, adding lobbying efforts would continue towards acquiring their support.

Hoxha added that the issue has also been discussed with Austrian government officials, who will invest efforts into closing the issue during the country’s EU Presidency until the end of 2018.
