Macedonia, India to boost economic cooperation


President of the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce (SSK) Daniela Arsovska and new Indian Ambassador to Macedonia Pooja Kapur reviewed possibilities for boosting the bilateral economic cooperation.

At a meeting, also attended by SSK members, a memo of cooperation was signed with Balkan India Business Association (BIBA), whose mission is to expand and develop economic cooperation between Balkan countries and India, SSK said in a press release on Saturday.

Boosting of the economic cooperation, trade exchange between the countries and promotion of Macedonian companies on the large India’s market is our goal, Arsovska said.

The trade exchange between Macedonia and India in 2016 was at EUR 58,4 million, the press release reads.
