Macedonian Army successfully performed its missions, tasks in 2017


In spite of the objective difficulties and limited resources available, the Macedonian Army (ARM) successfully performed its mission and all tasks, while the combat readiness thanking to the great efforts and commitment of the staff, was on the required level.

This is the conclusion as the ARM Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Metodija Velickovski, briefed Friday President and ARM Supreme Commander Gjorge Ivanov on the army’s combat readiness.

On the basis of the complete and objective analysis of the General Staff for 2017, the briefing covered the realization of ARM last year plans and tasks, combat readiness and suggestions for raising its level in 2018, the President’s Office said in a press release.

Velickovski highlighted the ARM last year key projects, as well as the priorities and plans for 2018, the press release reads.
