Members of Macedonia-Greece expert committee revealed

Professors Dalibor Jovanovski, Nikos Causidis, Ljudmil Spasov, Ana Cupeska-Staniskovska, Fahri Ramadani and Kica Kolbe have been named members of Macedonia’s Joint Inter-Disciplinary Committee of Experts on historic, archaeological and educational matters with Ambassador Viktor Gaber at the helm.

Greece has also already set up a committee, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Bolaris, that is mainly made up of professors from universities in Thessaloniki.

These include professors Spyridon Sfetas, Iakovos Michailidis and Atanasios Lupa of the History and Archaeology Department of the Aristotle Univertsity in Thessaloniki. Nikolaos Zaikos teaches at the Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies of the University of Macedonia, whereas professor Alexandra Yoanidu is from the Department of Russian Language and Phylology and Slavic Studies at the Athens-based Kapodistrian University. Efthimios Harlaftis is a representative of the Foreign Ministry’s Directorate for Southeastern European countries, MIA reports from Athens.

A list of the names of the members of the countries’ expert committees was submitted to the Greek Parliament as a written response of the Foreign Minister to a question of an MP.

The Joint Inter-Disciplinary Committee of Experts on historic, archaeological and educational matters was formed in September in line with Article 8, paragraph 5 of the Prespa Agreement.
