Mickoski: I and VMRO-DPMNE are against changing the name and identity of the nation

VMRO-DPMNE is currently out of the process of resolving the name dispute, since no one invited it to be a part of the process, nor has there been any official, or unofficial information, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said on MTV.

What VMRO-DPME receives as information from the process is from conferences, media reports, half-truths, and perhaps truths, and we do not know how to qualify them because we do not have real essential information and we are not part of that process, says Mickoski.

He says this year has started with many talks between Zaev and Tsipras and information on informal dinners in Thessaloniki, but all this is what they learn from the media and therefore cannot speak about this process.

“VMRO-DPMNE does not participate in this process, because I assume that SDSM’s government has chosen this methodology in a way of negotiating. VMRO-DPMNE is against the change of the Constitution and the change of the constitutional name of the Republic of Macedonia, and that is my position as Hristijan Mickoski as well as VMRO-DPMNE that is against the change of the identity and the nation of the Republic of Macedonia. Any solution that would involve changing the Constitution and changing the constitutional name, we, as a party, are against that as we as I personally”, said Mickoski.
