Mickoski: Macedonia doesn’t belong to Mickoski, or Zaev, you have everything in front of you, I’m convinced that you know what to do and what I want to say

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said at Tuesday’s press conference that this is a historic moment in which the name issue is being resolved, “one of the most important for our country, it is non-partisan, it is essential for the existence and further functioning of the state”. According to him, this is an issue that affects history, includes the work of our ancestors, and refers to the future, to the young and still unborn children.

It’s not about Hristijan Mickoski and Zoran Zaev, it’s not about SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE; it’s not about inter-party bickering, or daily press conferences, it’s about Macedonia and all its citizens, its existence and further development.

We have taken a decision that citizens should act according to their own belief at the referendum, he said, adding that the decision was reached after consultations with citizens and having in mind the different opinions among people – abstinence, vote ‘against’, but also “for’.

“Each individual will take a decision which he/she considers is the best one for the family and the country. Macedonia is our everything. Parties will not decide. People will decide on the national issue and we will all bow to that decision,” said Mickoski.

Macedonia does not belong to Mickoski, or Zaev, but to every free-thinking citizens. You have everything in front of you, and everything is so visible and measurable, with all the arguments, with all the facts, and I am convinced that you know, you know what to do.

You know best what I want to say to you and that what I’m saying touches every one of you, you just have to listen to your heart and your mind, and finally, finally, Macedonia will win, because Macedonia needs wisdom and unity.
