Mickoski: VMRO-DPMNE to participate in Parliament session on Language Law, requires amendment debate

VMRO-DPMNE MPs will participate in Wednesday’s Parliament session tomorrow, at which the law on languages should be adopted, but the leader of the party requires consideration of their amendments and opening of an amendment debate.

Hristijan Mickoski said that VMRO-DPMNE had called for reason, respect for the laws, the Rules of Procedure and the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia.

“We offered a solution based on the formation of working groups, which will be composed of all parliamentary political parties, will include the expert public, will include representatives from MANU and the president of the state. The topic is sensitive. In the past, we have seen that this topic has caused a lot of reactions in the expert public, but also in the general public in the Republic of Macedonia,” VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said on Tuesday in Strumica.

He has repeatedly called for reason and avoiding, as he said, bad scenarios and avoiding the option of parliamentary terror on the minority by the majority.

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE also said that their deputies will attend the session, and the public will be duly informed of the further steps.
