Michael Dameski gives his all in World of Dance Finale, finishes second (video)

Michael Dameski finished second on NBC‘s “World of Dance” Season 2 World Final, which aired Wednesday night. The Lab walked away with the victory and the $1 million prize.

In the first round Dameski performed a powerful dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Dive,” prompting host Jenna Dewan to tell him, “Your power move with this song is your vulnerability and your emotional connection.” In round two, Dameski performed a haunting version of “Survivor” by 2WEI.

“You are a survivor. You are here for a reason. There is greatness in you,” said Ne-Yo. Jennifer Lopez added, “I just love watching you push yourself through these performances. Especially these last two really showed me that you really want this … That’s the sign of a champion to me.” And Derek Hough told him, “Everybody’s going to know Michael Dameski after this.”

“I went into this competition with me myself and I and I managed to make it as far as I did. I am so grateful for this experience. I learnt so much about myself and my capabilities. There is no stopping me, I will continue to do what I love forever and always. I may not have won 1 million dollars but I definitely feel like I’ve won 1 million hearts. This means more to me than anything. Thank you World of Dance and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. Congratulations to all finalists! Everyone that performed in the finale was deserving of the prize, there is no denying that. Until next time….” Dameski wrote on Instagram.
