Parliament committee endorses motion to terminate Gruevski’s MP mandate

The Parliament’s Committee on Rules of Procedures and Mandatory-Immunity Issues endorsed by majority of votes the court’s motion for termination of the MP mandate of Nikola Gruevski for the purpose of serving a two-year prison sentence over Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) case dubbed Tank.

Five of the nine members of the Committee voted for termination of the MP mandate of Nikola Gruevski. The members of the opposition VMRO-DPMNE did not attend the voting. They came to the Committee, but after the stated remarks by Trajko Veljanoski that a political, not a legal process was being conducted, they left the session.
