Playwright Goran Markovic to attend “Speech Impairment” in MNT


Renowned Serbian film and theatre director Goran Markovic will attend the performance of his play “Speech Impairment”, directed by Dragana Milosevska-Popova, in the Macedonian National Theatre (MNT) on Tuesday.

Markovic, 71, studied at the directing department within FAMU film academy in Prague. He has directed approximately 50 documentaries, 11 feature films and 3 theatre plays. Markovic is also a professor at the Belgrade Faculty of Dramatic Arts and a member of the European Film Academy in Brussels.

Text “Speech Impairment” deals with the problem of theatre and people of the theatre, but also the society in general. It focuses on the ties between politics and art, as well as those between crime, business and politics.

The cast includes Igor Dzambazov, Ivica Dimitrijevic, Saska Dimitrovska, Arna Sijak, Ana Stojanovska and Biljana Jovanovska.
