President Ivanov accepts Macron’s invitation to attend events in Paris

President Gjorge Ivanov has accepted France’s President Emanuel Macron’s invitation to take part in the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War in Paris on Sunday, November 11th.

President Ivanov during the day will participate and address one of the panels of the conference titled “Paris Peace Forum”.

Presidents of states or governments of over 60 countries in the world will take part in the events in Paris

The invitation to President Ivanov is of particular importance, because with this gesture, the Republic of Macedonia is among the countries that experienced the horrors and sufferings of the war, even though in that period it was not a state. But in its present territory, part of the famous Thessaloniki or Macedonian front was stretched, whose breakthrough in August-September 1918 accelerated the process of ending the First World War.
