President Ivanov meets Slovenian Speaker Brglez


President Gjorge Ivanov met Tuesday with Slovenian National Assembly Speaker Milan Brglez, exchanging opinions on bilateral relations.

Ivanov and Brglez agreed that both countries share friendly relations without any open issues, based on long-standing cooperation and mutual bilateral and multilateral support, the President’s Office said in a press release.

President Ivanov thanked Speaker Brglez for Slovenia’s continual and principled support over Macedonia’s EU and NATO membership aspirations, as well as the refugee and migrant crisis.

Interlocutors discussed the need for enhancement of economic cooperation and increase of bilateral trade exchange. They also referred to developments in the region and Europe, especially in the context of necessity for enhanced cooperation towards securing peace and security in the area, reads the press release.
