Screening of Manchevski’s Dust movie in memory of late actor Salaetin Bilal


Milcho Manchevski’s movie Dust was screened Monday evening in memory to the late theatre and film actor Salaetin Bilal in the Cinematheque of Macedonia.

The Macedonian actor of Turkish descent died, aged 76 on May 12. Bilal was a regular fixture of the Turkish Theater in Skopje as part of its ensemble since his employment in 1964 and up until his retirement in 2007.

Throughout his prolific career, he starred in theater plays, movies and TV series and films. He is most famous to audiences for his myriad of film roles, most notably for starring in three Milcho Manchevski-directed movies, namely Dust, Shadows and Mothers.

Salaetin Bilal won also many awards, including a lifetime achievement award in 2014.
