Speaker Talat Xhaferi forwarded Wednesday the Skopje court requests for detention of six MPs to the Committee on Rules of Procedures and Mandatory-Immunity Issues.

In line with the Parliament Rules of Procedures, Speaker Xaferi submitted the request of the Skopje-based Basic Court Office for Prosecuting Organised Crime for detention of MPs Krsto Mukovski, Ljuben Arnaudov, Johan Tarculovski, Saso Vasilevski and Zaklina Pesevska, the Parliament said in a press release.

Earlier, Xhaferi had a meeting with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and DUI leader Ali Ahmeti.

The Committee on Rules of Procedures and Mandatory-Immunity Issues will review the court request on Thursday at 12:00h, its chairman Pavle Bogoevski told MIA.

This morning the court has ordered thirteen 30-day detention and 6 house arrest measures for 24 people suspected of ‘terrorist endangerment of the constitutional order and security of the country’ regarding their involvement in the violent events in April in Parliament.
