The Supreme Court issued a shameful document calling it an explanation for the abolition of the detention of the defendants in the “Monster” case – murder of five people near Smilkovo Lake.

The judicial council, which decided to abolish the detention and set other measures of precaution for the defendants, was composed of the President of the Court, Jovo Vangelovski, the judges Dzemaili Saiti, Faik Arslani, Shpend Devaja and Rahilka Stojkovska.

“Given that the verdicts were abolished, the Supreme Court ordered other measures of precaution that would ensure the presence of the defendants during the proceedings. Therefore, the court decided that these defendants should be released immediately and set other measures of precaution that ensure the presence of the defendants, such as: ban of leaving their residence, whereby the defendants are forbidden from leaving the territory of the city of Skopje. The defendants are required to occasionally report to an official person who will be determined by the Skopje-based Basic Court I every working Tuesday and Friday between 12.00 and 14.00 h,” reads the explanation.
