VMRO-DPMNE says Zaev running out of room to manipulate the public

VMRO-DPMNE said that now the responsibility rests solely on SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, who, the party adds, held the country hostage for months with his refusal to reject the Tirana platform. On Wednesday, Zaev received the mandate from President Gjorge Ivanov after submitting a written guarantee that he will not allow any foreign document or platform to be used to blackmail the formation or work of his Government.

“Zaev will now need to choose whether he will reject the demands to introduce bilingual currency in Macedonia, bilingual military uniforms and to give an apology to the Albanians for an alleged genocide. If he doesn’t, he will renege the word he gave before his own people”, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release.

Zaev is negotiating forming a coalition with three parties that represent ethnic Albanians which signed the Tirana platform. Representatives from the three parties said that they consider the document to be valid and that it will be implemented through the next Government.

“With his actions, Zaev showed that his only political motive is to do what he is told from those pulling his strings. This type of behavior has no future. He is running out of room to manipulate the citizens. Zaev will feel the patience and persistence of the hundreds of thousands who are fighting to preserve the unitary character of our country and to reject all kinds of foreign platforms”, VMRO-DPMNE said in its press release.
