Workshop on reducing vulnerability of agriculture to climate change

A workshop on topic “Reducing Vulnerability of Agriculture to Climate Change” will be held Tuesday and Wednesday in Mavrovo organised by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO).

Minister of Agriculture, Forest and Water Economy Ljupco Nikolovski, FAO experts and professors at the Faculty of Agriculture Science and Food will address the workshop.

Since 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Water Economy (MAFWE) has established a partnership with FAO to propose options for Climate Change institutional mainstreaming.

The project, which will end in December 2017, aims at providing a better understanding of existing institutional structure of MAFWE and propose options for a long-term institutionalization of the climate change issue within the Ministry and supports the establishment of an inter-institutional arrangement option to facilitate coordination at the national level.
