Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said Tuesday that the action of the Kosovo Police in the north is only law enforcement and nothing else, and called on Serbs to preserve peace.

“The police action is against people involved in illegal trafficking, organized crime and other crimes,” Haradinaj wrote on Facebook.

Some of the persons involved in these acts are officials of the Customs, the Police, and ordinary citizens. As prime minister, I confirm that it is a matter of law enforcement and nothing else. I call on Serbs to keep the peace and respect the law, wrote Haradinaj.

One person was wounded and five people were arrested in the Kosovo police “Rosu” action, Pristina media reported.

Among the arrested were also members of the Albanian police.

The action is a result of several month investigation by the police and the police inspectorate under the leadership of the Special Prosecutor’s Office in Kosovo, the Kosovo media reported.
