The 31st International Book Fair opens Wednesday at 10:00h, at the site of the VIP Arena Boris Trajkovski. The Book Fair will last through May 14.

About 70 publishers will take part in the Fair, and visitors would have the opportunity to buy books at discount prices. The Fair’s offer is varied, including fiction, scholarly and professional books, encyclopedia, children’s literature… The Book Fair will feature about 30 book promotions.

Publishers from Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Denmark and Hungary, whose literature is in the focus of this year’s Book Fair, will exhibit alongside local publishers.

The Fair will have its official opening event Wednesday evening by Minister without Portfolio Zoran Shapurikj and Skopje Fair Executive Director Daniela Gligorovska. Academic Vlada Uroshevikj, President of the Writers’Association Sonja Stojmenska-Elsezer, as well as guests from Hungary – author Laszlo Bagoshi and State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tamas Menzer will deliver opening speeches.

The Book Fair is organized at the VIP Arena Boris Trajkovski for the second year in a row. The number of visitors in 2018 has exceeded that of 2017.
