In conditions when Europe is facing one of the biggest energy crises, the government with timely measures through Power Plants of Macedonia (ESM) succeeded to cope with the price shock that was imminent, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi said on Friday.

We managed to ensure minimal growth in the price of electricity and heating, and at a time when all countries in the region have electricity restrictions, we provided uninterrupted electricity supply to all households and small consumers, he said.

ESM’s general manager, Vasko Kovacevski, said that the past 7 months were the most difficult in the existence of ESM. The responsibility for the daily management of the electricity crisis and the heating crisis was assigned to ESM by the Government, and we accepted that obligation and performed it in full, he said.
