For four years in a row now, the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission (ERC) of Macedonia has been rated the number one regulator by the European Energy Community Secretariat. The country shares first place with Georgia and Montenegro in the Secretariat’s annual report for 2021, the ERC said in a press release.

The Secretariat states in the report that the ERC has a high professional profile and continues to demonstrate regulatory independence.

With this recognition we complete a cycle of four consecutive successful years of teamwork that reflects competence, credibility, professionalism and independence. The recognition from the Secretariat in Vienna is a confirmation of all our activities that we have taken and decisions that we have made. The successes are not accidental and I dedicate this recognition to the employees who give their maximum in all processes, says the President of ERC, Marko Bislimoski, who is also the President of the Board of Regulators, a position noted by the Secretariat.
