Croatia adopted a law that will introduce the euro as its official currency. The vote was passed with 117 in favor and only 13 opposed.

The law provides that the euro will become the official currency of Croatia starting on January 1st 2023. The kuna will be replaced by September that year and in the meantime, both currencies would be used side by side.
