The Chamber of Commerce warns that 160 companies from different industries are warning that they are facing serious problems due to the growing crisis that includes inflation and spiking prices of key raw materials, food and energy.

The situation is most dire in construction, where the problem of rising costs of building materials needs to be handled now. Otherwise, the consequences would be disastrous. We will all be held responsible if we don’t begin to solve these problems immediately. We are talking about one of the main industries in the country and its problems have implications for many areas, especially in public procurement. There are public infrastructure contracts with set prices, where the allowed deviation does not reflect the real price increases, said Andrea Serafimovski from the Chamber of Commerce, who heads the association for construction and building materials.
