According to the announcements, the Government is set to declare a state of crisis in the energy sector at a session today in order to inject budget funds directly into the energy companies.

The Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi announced that he will propose the Government to declare a state of crisis in the energy sector, as well as that there are funds to intervene, and depending on the needs of energy companies, that many funds will be redirected directly from the budget.

No restrictive measures are currently envisaged, but a state of crisis will be declared in the energy sector with the sole purpose of being able to inject budget funds directly into the energy companies in the country, including ESM and MEPSO to increase their liquidity, so that interventions can be made in electricity imports, Bekteshi said recently.

In the budget, as he said, there are currently 100 million euros available that are not used by the fund for dealing with the pandemic.
