The rising cost of fuel prompted many businesses to increase their prices, but many who are directly dependent on this price, are in regulated markets. This includes bus and taxi companies, who can’t increase the prices and are force to bear their losses.

A new call comes from the association of driving schools. It’s head, Jonce Apostolovski, said that most companies agree that the realistic price of a course should be 24,500 denars – about 400 EUR or slightly less than one average salary. But the Interior Ministry is capping their price at 19,300 denars. Apostolovski says that the companies need to be allowed to increase prices in order to survive.
