Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said Tuesday they have reached an agreement with businesses and trade unions over an increase of the minimum monthly wage from MKD 12,507 (EUR 203) to MKD 14,500 (EUR 236).

In 2017 we increased the minimum wage by MKD 3,500, and so far it was MKD 12,507 denars. Now we are increasing it for additional MKD 2,000 to MKD 14,500, said Zaev.

The prime minister said he hoped that by the end of his term in office to reach the target of a minimum wage of MKD 16,000and an average MKD 30,000.
