During his interview with Alsat TV on Wednesday, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski pointed out that the primary task of the VMRO-DPMNE-led government was to fight for higher pensions and salaries.

An extremely high-quality team is working on the economic program, compared to what the government is doing today. You have a deputy prime minister for economic affairs who does not have a minute service in the public sector, Mickoski explained.

Mickoski added that citizens do not know where their money is spent.

With the political functioning in the Government and Zoran Zaev and the people around him functioning on one basis they first stole the name, stole the surname, humiliated the identity, hurt the pride and dignity of the citizens. And all that for one purpose only, said Mickoski.

Mickoski said that because of this government’s actions, they would lose permanently in the elections. Citizens will punish them.

We told pensioners that what SDSM is now offering is practically less than what they were entitled to according to the legal solution that they overturned and adopted a new one which applies from January 1, 2019. That was our attitude. And in the past pensions have been leveled twice a year on two grounds. The first is the rise in the average salary. And the second ground is the rising cost of living. They revoked the first ground, the average salary increase, and we say if these two pillars remained on which you received your increased pensions, then these 700-900 denars they now promise you would be much more. It would be 1200-1300-1500 denars. That’s why we said the first day when VMRO-DPMNE comes to power, it will bring back the first legal solution because we think that this solution will bring higher pensions to the pensioners, said Mickoski.

In terms of taxes, he said the state has less money because of the SDSM government. He reminded that the PRO has about 4 billion MKD less than expected, which now the government is justifying by taking new loans. That’s why there is a hole in the Macedonian budget now, he said.

Mickoski pointed to a case in which over thirty million euros were transferred to Macedonian Energy Resources. According to him, the statements of the Minister of Finance Nina Angelovska, who claimed for a month that there is a realization of capital investments of 78%, are incorrect.
