Koco Angjuhev is also leaving Zoran Zaev. The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs said that no matter what the outcome of the election, he is withdrawing from politics, returning to his own companies and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

What is the reason for this decision of the businessman? At press conferences, Angjusev, always backed by Zaev, argues that the economy shines, foreign investment in the first quarter of 2019 has increased fivefold and that 54,000 people have been employed in two years and net wages have risen by 10 percent over two years.

The average salary in the country will reach 30,000 denars by the end of 2020 and it will be based on the real growth of the economy. The increase in salaries and pensions is not a pre-election bribe, but is based on the growth of economic figures in the last two years, Angjusev said recently.

However, despite this “growth”, the Deputy Prime Minister complained Monday on TV Telma that his companies are working with almost 50% less profit.

When I accepted to be part of the Government, my intentions were most honest, with the knowledge I had gained to help the state. But for this period, my companies’ earnings have dropped, and profits have fallen by up to 50%. It is not only because of the non-participation in tender bids, but also because of my absence. I will finish my term, but since I am not a member of any party, I will not continue politics in perspective, Angjusev said.

Despite the press conferences for the shining economy in the pre-election period, this is not the first time Zaev’s right hand has thought about leaving office. So, before the famous “purge”, his name was mentioned next to former Finance Minister Dragan Tevdovski who was replaced by Nina Angelovska.

In a statement for the media, Angjusev then said he was quite relaxed on the matter.

It is an honor to be a member of the government, but also anyone who has held a public office should be aware that one day he will leave office and here I do not see a great tragedy in all of this, Angjusev said then.
