Swiss company “Baumer” opened its plant in the Skopje technological-industrial development zone on Thursday.

In the first phase, the investment amounts to 4.7m euros and will open 150 new jobs, with the possibility of a total of 500 jobs in the future. In addition to the production capacity, the Swiss investor will build a development research center that will train young engineers.

CEO Oliver Vietze said they offer high technology skills, interesting jobs and excellent working conditions.

In the first phase of construction, the company focuses on manufacturing and manufacturing engineering. In the next phase of expansion, new product development teams of hardware and software engineers, as well as IT specialists, are planned, Vietze said.

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, who together with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Koco Angjusev attended the opening, said it was a company that is synonymous with quality and high technology.

Baumer is a leading manufacturer of innovative and high-quality sensors and sensor solutions for applications in factory and process automation. The Bunardzik plant is its 39th plant in 20 countries.
