After meeting opposition supporters in Skopje’s Karpos district, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski announced that the party will propose regulation to lower the heating prices in the capital. Mickoski reminded the public that Zoran Zaev and his SDSM party promised to do just that, by reducing the value added tax on heating from 18 to 5 percent, but after they won the presidential elections, they refuse to do so.

This issue was raised before the voters ahead of the 2016 general elections. Now we see they had no intention to keep the promise. Zoran Zaev lied about this, among many other things. Now the VMRO-DPMNE group in Parliament will propose an amendment which would lower heating prices for our citizens, Mickoski said.
