General practitioners say that all 40,000 publicly provided flu shots were booked as early as 7h in the morning today – the first day they were supposed to be offered to the public.

This morning, at 7:15, there were no reservations I could offer my patients, one doctor told Alfa TV, wondering how is it possible that all “free” shots were used up within minutes.

An additional batch of 2,000 shots that were offered at a price of 800 denars were also used up in four hours, despite patients complaining about the price. Doctors say that, because of the coronavirus epidemic, there was greater interest than usual in the flu shots, but still found the distribution process completely mismanaged.
