Out of 2,827 COVID-19 tests carried out in Macedonia in the past 24 hours, 883 new cases were registered and 29 passed away, the Health Ministry said on Friday.

New cases were registered in: Skopje 345, Kumanovo 37, Debar 10, Stip 32, Prilep 54, Tetovo 32, Struga 21, Veles 39, Bitola 36, Ohrid 34, Kavadarci 29, Gostivar 19, Gevgelija 32, Strumica 44, Kriva Palanka 7, Radovis 12, Krusevo 1, Kocani 25, Probistip 2, Demir Hisar 1, Makedonski Brod 1, Pehcevo 4, Valandovo 8, Vinica 5, Delcevo 1, Kratovo 3, Sveti Nikole 12, Kicevo 16, Resen 4, Negotino 17.

29 people died, including twelve patients from Skopje (aged 72, 75, 80, 70, 84, 54, 64, 33, 78, 78, 48 and 64), two patients from Kumanovo (63 and 82), three patients from Prilep (76, 67 and 87), two from Tetovo (65 and 72), a patient from Struga (81), two from Veles (77 and 80), two patients from Bitola (64 and 65), two from Gostivar (63 and 74), one patient from Valandovo (83) and two from Kicevo (78 and 73).

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Macedonia has registered 77,134 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 52,949 people have recovered. The death toll stands at 2,254. At the moment, there are 21,931 active cases across the country.
