Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski announed that state prosecutors will interrogate everybody involved in the major racketeering scandal, which includes Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva and one of her top assistants Lile Stefanova.

The two were linked with the leaked tapes showing the extortion of 1.5 million EUR from businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev by showman Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13. Janeva is even heard in one of the tapes, assuring Kamcev that “everything will be well” after he paid money to Boki 13, while Stefanova is mentioned by Kamcev, who says she demanded he gives her a shop in one of his buildings for her daughter.

Joveski, who heads the OJO/PPO office of state prosecutors was widely criticized for giving Janeva a three weeks head start after Boki 13’s arrest.

As you know, there is an on-going investigation. The prosecutor is undertaking investigative measures and we will determine the truth in this case, based on a pre-prepared investigative plan. I would like to point out that the PPO is acting in a non-selective manner and I assure the public that everybody involved in this act will be interrogated and questioned, and then we will reach a decision in accordance with the law, Joveski said in an interview.

Janeva already left the country, for vacation in Greece, and she reportedly attempted to destroy evidence – concealing one of her phones and ordering the formatting of her office computers.
